The moment you think a thought, you fire off a biological reaction. But are you in control of that reaction, or is your past controlling you?

Since birth you have developed your own mental model of the world. Within it you have developed a vast collection of words, meanings and labels that define and dictate the world you live in that exist on the outside of you.

Your personal word bank is a collection of words that mean something to you. The way in which you define things, you know personally or experience in life are attached to words.

Every word you have collected over the years since birth, is now a collection of words that you can access and use everyday to describe something you see or want to convey to someone.

We all have a psychological relationship with words and their meaning. The meaning you give life comes with a reaction or emotion.

Next we have labels and associations to things, “The Good, Bad, Maybe” The interesting thing is that you can always change what something means.

The moment you think, hear or use words that your nervous system recognizes, you get triggered. “Happy, Sad, Laugh, Cry ...”

Those words that you can’t stand or that invokes memories of pain, suffering or trauma can be neutralized “eliminated” or rewritten in your nervous system.

Priming and framing is a technique that can transform your pain, suffering or trauma into an archived mental frame, that you can observe and review in a neutral state of mind without the emotional attachment involved.

Your thoughts carry an emotional charge which is either negative, neutral or positive. The moment you think a certain thought, you fire off and trigger a series of pulses in your nervous system that affects your physical body and mental state.

Being in-charge of your thoughts starts with the relationship you have with yourself. When was the last time you checked in with yourself in self-reflection for a self-review.

The farther you distance yourself from your inner world, the real you. You lose the most important person who will always be there for you.

The most important relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself.
